About the Course
Person-centered documentation is a crucial part of mental health treatment. Person-centered documentation provides the evidence for demonstrating the need and effects of treatment.
This course is designed to prepare students to be efficient, competent, and accurate in the provision of person-centered treatment planning. This course focuses specifically on treatment planning and documentation as part of the mental health treatment process. Participants will examine the benefits of the person-centered approach and learn best practices for documenting findings and writing treatment plan components through this approach. Through experiential case studies, participants will explore the philosophy and practical application of person-centered care to develop treatment plans using IBHAWI’s Practice Guidelines for Person-Centered Planning and documentation.
